The Australian Defence Force has an arsenal packed full of epic vehicles to entice future recruits. The main stars include the Army M1A1 Abrams tank, Navy SH-60 Seahawk helicopter, and Air Force F-35A Jet. These three were modelled into interactive Snapchat lenses that brought them to life in AR.

The creative challenge was getting these lenses in the hands of the next generation of recruits by asking them to scan a Snapcode. Instead of shunning the Snapcode to the corner, our solution was to hero them front and centre. Around them, we crafted action-packed Defence Force scenes that hinted towards what the code would unlock.

Future recruits were given the virtual keys to the Defence Force’s most formidable vehicles. All they had to do was scan to unlock.
